The weekend

Saturday I ran in a 5k. It was called the Camp Smith Grueler in Honolulu. Kahi had asked if I wanted to run in it. She signed me up since it was at her work. The race started at 7am. There I was at the starting line with all the military men and women. The announcer said there was a 9 year old in the race and a 65 year old. That boosted my confidence about not getting dead last. There were a few others who were just friends of the military people, like me. The weather was a perfect overcast, cool morning. All 200 of us bunched up at the starting line. I made sure I started close to the front so i would stay in the front! The trail was all uphill the first half and then mostly downhill the last half. I got 2nd place in my age group (20-24). My time was 25:32. The fastest girl got 21min or something. Which means I was about the 6-10 fastest female. They announced my name. I walked up and shook the Sergeant's hand and got a picture with him! They had bananas and oranges and gatorade for us after the race. I was really glad I did it! Kahi and I spent the rest of our saturday at Costco and Walmart.

Yesterday I went to Kahi's ward again. Since it was 5th Sunday RS and Priesthood met together. Kahi and I sat in the back eating an orange while he was telling us about respecting and keeping the church buildings clean. Then thejuice from the orange dripped on the hymn book. Whoopsie! After church I talked to Amy outside of Kahi's house. I was sitting on some steps looking at the mountains and the scenery and thought how pretty it was. I took pictures of Robson, Kahi's brother and Jerris his girlfriend at the temple yesterday. Robson should be getting his mission call this week! We all think he is going to go to Canada where there are choke (a lot) howlies and so he can see Justin Bieber's hometown or England where they speak proper. He always speaks pidgon and is hard to understand sometimes so we always tease him about that. We watched shark week and played some games and then Uncle Sonny made apple pie turnovers. They were delicious. Kahi and I felt so guilty for eating them we woke up at 7 this morning to do a kettle bell workout. I just got out of class and have SO much homework. Two presentations this week! We are playing soccer today at 4 unless it rains, which is likely... Anyways I have my physical tomorrow and just lots of homework! Oh and by the way I am keeping my eyes open for a US Women's Soccer poster so if anyone knows where I could get one, let me know!

Love you!
